All events are free, except for the pageant where there is a small fee. On July 4th if you make a donation at the front gate or any novelty booths, you receive a stamp, which will get you $0.25 off every food item purchase at all food vending booths.

Winslow Family 4th of July Celebration
Welcome to the 2009 4th of July celebration! Starting June 27th we have the Miss 4th of July Pageant at Winslow Jr. High school on June 27 from 6-9 PM.

June 29th & 30th enjoy our expanded Dining to Donate. 10% of food orders placed, at local participating restaurants, will benefit the Winslow Family 4th of July fund!

On July 1st, we're bringing back the 4th Idol Contest from 4-6 PM.
Then catch a concert in the park starting at 6:15 PM featuring The Navy Band of the Northeast, first appearance in Central Maine . As well, catch the Beans & Pork Roast Supper from 4-8 PM, all at Fort Halifax Park.

July 2nd brings us a Golden Afternoon, featuring La Famille LeBlanc, Gadelle (from Prince Edward Island), and Chantal et Marcel. Following Golden afternoon, the concert in the park continues with the very popular, Yellow Brick Road: Tribute to Elton John.
Don't miss the Chicken BBQ at Fort Halifax Park 11-8 PM also on July 2.

July 3rd, experience the 319th US Army Band at Fort Halifax Park from 11 AM - 1 PM.
After a day in the park, head up to St. John's school parking lot for everyone's favorite Street Dance hosted by Jon James & Matt James of 92 Moose. The bands, Fools Moon and Central Maine's Hottest Band: Fallen Angel will have everyone dancing the night away! Street Dance will be from 5-11 PM.

Maine's LARGEST Independence Day Parade kicks off at 10 AM July 4th! This year the parade proudly features a pair of F-16 Fighter Jets (Vermont Air National Guard), the massive KC-135 refueler (Maine Air National Guard) is back, along with the 319th Statue of Liberty Band, Sea Dog's - Slugger, Portland Pirate's - Cracker, Fly by Night Renegade Circus, and Much Much More!

After the Parade, head down to Fort Halifax Park for a day of music, games, petting zoo, and (20) food booths! Enjoy our Chicken BBQ and experience shows from The Returnables, The Awesome (totally 80's retro band), Central Maine's Hottest band: Fallen Angel, and The Fly By Night Renegade Circus will perform!

At 9:10, join us for a Patriotic Tribute featuring Rich Cutliffe, Highlander Bagpiper, Stephanie Beadle, and Aaron Cayer!

9:30 PM the show turns to they night sky for the most spectacular fireworks display in the state! Even if you can't make it into the park, the park's patriotic music will be broadcast on B-98 and 92-Moose so you can be in the action wherever you experience the fireworks!

On Friday July 10th (6 - 8 PM) the Concert in the Park continues at Fort Halifax Park featuring the Maine Army National Guard Band of Bangor, Maine!

If softball is your game, join us on July 11th & 12th for Sofball Tournaments (behind Winslow High School).
The Winslow Family 4th of July is proud to hold family friendly events. No alcohol is permitted at any event. Please also note that bikes and dogs are not allowed in Fort Halifax Park. Please respect the properties of residents and businesses near the park and along the parade route.
